PARKS, CHESIN & WALBERT ADDS RENOWNED GEORGIA ATTORNEY AND FORMER STATE LEGISTOR EDWARD LINDSEY AS PARTNER
Parks, Chesin & Walbert, one of Atlanta’s most respected boutique litigation firms, announces the addition of partner Edward Lindsey. Lindsey will concentrate his practice on business litigation and government litigation, including government contracts disputes, bid protests, regulatory matters and public policy advocacy, primarily at the state and municipal levels in Georgia. Lindsey brings more than four decades of legal, legislative and leadership experience, making him one of the most qualified attorneys in Georgia to navigate the intersection of law, government and business. “Whether he is representing his constituents in the General Assembly, his clients in court or his clients’ interests in legislative or administrative initiatives, Edward Lindsey has always been held in the highest esteem by his peers and his clients,” said partner Matt Maguire at Parks, Chesin & Walbert. “His statewide relationships and deep understanding of how to work the levers of government are a rare and extraordinary asset for his clients. Edward’s addition allows our firm to offer our clients a more holistic solution that fundamentally expands the firm’s ability to navigate the intersection of business, law and politics.”
Lindsey joins Parks, Chesin & Walbert following his tenure as a partner in Dentons’ Regulatory, Public Policy and Government Affairs practice, where he counseled clients in the transportation, infrastructure, health care, gaming, election and education sectors on their most critical policy and legal challenges.
He served 10 years as a Georgia State Representative and three terms as House Majority Whip, with committee assignments including Appropriations, Judiciary, Education, Ways and Means and Rules. He has also served on the Uniform Law Commission, the Georgia Commission on Family Violence, and the Georgia State Election Board.
At Parks, Chesin & Walbert, Lindsey will leverage his broad legal and public policy experience to advocate for businesses and organizations in commercial disputes, regulatory matters, government contract protests and disputes, state and local administrative and regulatory matters, and public policy engagements.
“Parks, Chesin & Walbert has an excellent reputation, and I am proud to join this team,” said Lindsey. “Georgia’s state and municipal governments represent enormous opportunity and complexity for businesses of all sizes. I look forward to helping clients not only understand that landscape but succeed within it.”
Lindsey’s dual expertise in law and government has earned him consistent recognition at the highest levels. Chambers USA has ranked him Band 1 in Government Relations: State & Local (Nationwide) for 2023-25; Legal 500 lists him as a Recommended Lawyer in Government Relations; and Best Lawyers in America has recognized him in Product Liability Litigation from 2013-26.
Atlanta Magazine has named him a Georgia Super Lawyer continuously since 2005 and James Magazine recognized him in 2020 as one of the Most Influential Politically-Connected Attorneys in Georgia and as a top registered lobbyist in the state. He has also been recognized by the Georgia Chamber of Commerce as Legislator of the Year and holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the profession’s highest peer review designation for legal ability and ethical standards.
Lindsey holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from Davidson College.
