Daniel Cole is a skilled attorney who represents both employees and employers in employment law and business litigation. Drawing on experience across a variety of legal roles, Daniel brings a well-rounded perspective and strategic insight to his clients’ matters. He has clerked for both federal and state court judges, defended businesses of all sizes in employment and commercial disputes, and represented employees and executives in contract negotiations, separations, and all facets of employment litigation.
In his employment practice, Daniel is a trusted advisor to C-Suite executives, managers, physicians, and employees facing employment issues. When litigation becomes necessary, he is a skilled advocate with experience handling a broad range of matters, including discrimination claims, complex overtime claims and collective actions, discrimination claims, FMLA litigation, and complex executive compensation, equity, and contract disputes. Daniel has handled high stakes cases gaining local and national media coverage. Daniel’s business litigation practice includes representing companies in matters involving breach of contract, business divorces, enforcement of operating or partnership agreements, trade secret theft, fraud, and other business torts. Daniel has successfully tried cases to verdict on behalf of his clients when necessary.
Daniel is a member of the Georgia Bar and is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in Georgia, as well as the Supreme Court of the United States. He is a 2016 graduate of the State Bar of Georgia Young Lawyers Division Leadership Academy, a former chair of the Mentorship Academy for the Labor & Employment Section, and currently serves on the State Business Court Committee for the State Bar of Georgia. Daniel previously served on the boards of his local Rotary Club and the Young Leaders Council for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta.
Daniel is a proud double graduate of Mercer University, where he obtained a business degree and later attended the Walter F. George School of Law on a full scholarship, graduating cum laude with honors. He served as Managing Editor of the Mercer Law Review and Student Editor of the Journal of Southern Legal History. Daniel serves on the Board of Alumni for the Mercer University School of Law.
Outside of the practice of law, Daniel enjoys traveling with his wife, Autumn, dining at the many great restaurants Atlanta offers, is an avid golfer, and is always cheering on his favorite sports teams, including the Georgia Bulldogs, Braves, and Falcons.
