Atlanta Sidewalk Class Action: Lawson, et al. v. City of Atlanta, 1:18-cv-02484-SDG

Parks, Chesin & Walbert, along with Radford Scott LLP of Decatur, represent a class of disabled Georgia residents against the City of Atlanta for sidewalks that do not comply with the ADA and the Rehabilitation Act. While poor sidewalk conditions are a nuisance to most residents, for disabled persons it represents a significant challenge to mobility and safety. We were able to reach a settlement with the City which imposes a series of requirements to bring the sidewalk infrastructure into compliance within the next 25 years.
