Daniel Cole represents both plaintiffs and defendants in employment and business litigation. Daniel has worked in variety of roles since law school, allowing him to provide unique insight and advocacy on behalf of his clients. Daniel has clerked for both federal and state court judges, defended small to medium sized businesses in employment and business disputes at a southeastern defense firm, and represented large national corporate entities and executives in employment matters around the country while working for a large national law firm. Based on his diverse experience, Daniel is able to view cases from the perspective of both judges and opposing counsel to obtain the best results possible for his clients.

In his employment practice, Daniel has litigated a variety of matters involving wage and overtime issues, unlawful discrimination, retaliatory discharge, and restrictive covenants, including non-compete litigation. In addition to his litigation practice, Daniel has represented both companies and employees in employment contract negotiations, including the representation of high-level executives and physicians in contract negotiations and re-negotiations. Growing up in a blue collar, working class family, Daniel appreciates the struggle working people face in both good times and bad. Joining Parks, Chesin & Walbert gave Daniel the opportunity to fulfill his desire to help those individuals in their time of need.

In his business litigation practice, Daniel has represented a wide range of companies, large and small, in matters involving breach of contract, business divorces, enforcement of operating or partnership agreements, trade secret theft, and employment matters. Daniel understands the value and work it takes to build a business and endeavors to protect the interest of his business clients.

Daniel is a proud double graduate of Mercer University. After obtaining a business degree and working for a couple of years, Daniel attended the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University on a full scholarship and graduated cum laude with honors, scoring the highest grade in five of his classes. In law school, he served Managing Editor of the Mercer Law Review and Student Editor of the Journal of Southern Legal History.

Daniel is a member of the Georgia Bar and is admitted to practice before all Georgia state courts, as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia. Daniel is a 2016 graduate of the State Bar of Georgia’s Young Lawyers Division Leadership Academy and co-chaired the Labor & Employment Section for the Young Lawyers Division. Daniel is also a Rotarian and active member of the Young Leaders Council for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta.

Outside of the practice of law, Daniel and his wife, Autumn, enjoy traveling to new places, dining at the many great restaurants Atlanta and Decatur have to offer, cheering on the Atlanta Falcons and Georgia Bulldogs, and attending a good concert when time permits.
